SHE’S BACK! And the show is back! My bottle of wine is in the fridge, getting its chill on for tonight, the Season premire of Emily’s very own season of The Bachelorette. Time went by so quickly, don’t you think??  I can’t wait to hear everyone’s reactions.  I have not read any spoilers for the season, as I try not to.  I did not read up on any of the men, I never do.  I want my first impression opinions to help judge how the show is going to flow.  So sit back, pop open a bottle of wine, and let’s enjoy a fun-filled season with our Southern Sweetheart.

I haven’t posted in a while but I have been thinking of you.  I am currently working on two large projects with a third one about to start.  One is laying down the ground work for an independent study on Science in the Media that I will be doing my final semester and the other piece is working on my Literary Theory Essay (don’t let “essay” fool you) on the film Amadeus.  On a break, I searched tumblr to see if there are other Amadeus fans out there like myself and to my surprise…YES!  I am so thrilled!!!   Amadeus is my favorite movie and has been for over 15 years.

Emily’s Season Has Started!

Last night they started filming Emily’s season of the bachelorette.  Rumor on the street is that night one is filled with…you guessed it…romance.  In addition to “romance”, we also are in store for a very emotional ride.   The producers of the show were live tweeting the action, being a vague as possible of course, but Emily looked beautiful (Obv) and she is very pleased with her men.  The process of night one, which seemed about 10 hours long, started at around 8 when limo 1 pulled up.  After five limos and some interviews, Emily joined the party around midnight.  For 5 Hours, Emily enjoyed the cocktail party and and the producers made sure she had some time with every guy.  In a few months we will be able to watch it all unfold!    

So, good luck Emily!!  Enjoy the ride!

Hey everyone!

Well, it’s over.  Season 16 of the bachelor has come to an end.  Now all we have is tabloids…which I don’t care for anyway.  Isn’t it interesting how I love trash television but don’t care for tabloids.  Yea, it’s a good bathroom read but that’s really it…

…moving on.

The time has come to renew the blog until May, when Emily Maynard takes center stage as out beautiful and stylish Bachelorette.  I have gotten a bunch of suggestions from you guys ranging from “Whatevs…” to “DANCING WITH THE STARS!!!”.  Others simply want to see more Bachelor updates.  To be honest, I don’t really get into Dancing with the Stars, and this season the competitors are (to me) a bit boring.  No emotional attachment.  SO! Here is what I have decided to do… I will STAY with the Bachelor theme because…it’s the name of my Blog.  I will, however, start putting a little bit more of me into the blogs.  Bachelor theme does not mean that you will be bombarded with castoffs, no no.  Only my favorites.  I will post gossip only as I see fit.  And I will end it with a tidbit about me, because let’s face it, who doesn’t like to talk about themselves?  

if anyone wants to see anything in particular, want to know more about your favorite Bachelor, or has any questions, let me know!  I love chatting with you guys, I think you’re awesome.

So, today I will be doing research in Victorian Sensation Fiction and writing up/updating my resume.  I need a summer internship.  And if that doesn’t work out, maybe I will just try to get on Bachelor Pad.

And So It Ends…Let’s be real…anyone watching the show since day 1 of the season had to know that Ben was going to pick Courtney.  Because of this…The two hour finale was a bore fest.  Especially when he told his mother and sister that he was going to propose to Courtney and STILL went on his date with Lindzi.  At least Ali had respect for Chris and didn’t string him along.  When she knew that she was in love with Roberto, she cut things off with Chris right away.   Good for you Ali.   So Ben proposed to Courtney, obv, in the most DULL and BORING way possible.  Did anyone else feel that way?  I thought it was so…Blah.  Whatever…all I wanted to see was After the Final Rose. AGAIN, I was disappointed   First of all, it sounded like they were in high school.  They kept going back and forth on trust, he left her when she needed it to “everything is great”.  Shut the hell up.  Pick a story and stick with it.  Courtney is crying that she doesn’t trust Ben, that she doesn’t think she’s engaged, and they he hurt her by abandoning her…then Ben walks out saying that they are engaged and that they are in a good place.  I’m so confused.  Just go away already, I am over the both of you.  If it works for them, great.  If not…who cares.  Ben boner for Courtney ran the show and let’s be honest, that is why we all tuned in week after week. Ashley and JP were adorable, btw.  Also, side note…My aunt in Brooklyn won tickets through the radio to go to a viewing party last night.  True story, hung out with Ames, Ali, JP and Ashley, and others.  She called to invite me at 6pm.  The party started at 8.  There was NO WAY i was getting there in time.  hand to God, it happened.  I’m still annoyed.   Also…Where the hell was Lindzi?!  She had a VERY quiet exit from the show and then we don’t see her at After the Final Rose.  I don’t understand… No worries, because Chris Harrison has the answers. Just click on the photo above.   So there you have it. An end to an exhausting season of The Bachelor.

The Day Has Arrived! It is here, ladies…and a few gents.  The Final Rose.  AND! After The Final Rose.  I couldn’t care less about the actual episode, blah blah blah BUT TheAfter The Final Roseis going to be epic (Yes….epic).  It’s going to go one of three ways: 1) Ben is going to give America the finger and then moon us with his pasty white behind because he really DOES love Courtney and they will make demon babies.  2) He pulls a Jason Mesnik and breaks up with her “officially” during the show because he didn’t like what he saw while the show was airing/doesn’t like the backlash he has been getting all season.  or 3) he picks Lindzi, Chris Harrison and Mike Fleiss and Ben yell “Gotcha!”  The editors for the show come out and take a bow as the curtain closes and Ben and Lindz ride into the sunset on her horse.   What do you think will happen?

IT WAS SO GOOD! Women Tell All lived up to my expectations.  The women were vocal, Chris Harrison was genuine, Courtney was still fake and Ben’s comments were scripted.  Everything I love about Reality TV and oh, so much more. First, Samantha…shut your pie hole.  Who are you?  Go away.  Why do you have a comment about EVERYTHING?  buh-bye. Second, Blakely…I respect you because you are real.  We may not see eye to eye but hey, do what you gotta do girl.  And tell Samantha to shut up. Third, can we discuss how amazing…AMAZING Emily is?  Preach Preach PREACH.  I love her.  I adore her.  She was outspoken but sang words of truth and wisdom.  She is perfect for reality TV.  And I love how she basically admitted that she dodged a bullet with Ben.  Our bachelor used strong and firm words with her and she deserves someone SO much better….well….they all do. Kacie B and Nicki just tugged on my heart strings the entire night.  They were holding hands and were a constant support team for each other.  RESPECT. okay okay okay…the part that matters.  COURTNEY.  What did people think?  Did you believe in her apology?  I agree with a majority of the girls in that Courtney is simply trying to protect her image.  I do believe that the bad press has been a strain on her family and friends, and quite possibly her relationship with Ben.  I agree with the girls that when it was getting close to the end, she realized that some of the things she has said and done was going to come back to haunt her and she apologized to Ben, not the girls.  And when she came on to WTA, she couldn’t even look at the girls.  I think Courtney is sorry that she got caught.  A “nice person” would not say the things that Courtney said at the extent that she did.  Courtney, your true colors have shown and though it has made for great Reality TV and I appreciate that, I still don’t buy your apology.  You have too much on the line (family, friends, career).  You don’t care about the girls.  Your are self centered, spoiled, and conceited.  Your only friend in the house was the girl that got sent home for LYING and having a boyfriend back home.  Something smells fishy.  Good luck Courtney on trying to repair that damage.  blah blah blah…Ben was boring and sounded scripted and said nothing that I care about.   Also…I adore Monica.
